Meet Dr. Clark

Dr. Jason Clark

.

Dr. Jason Clark has firm roots in Charlotte. He grew up in the area, attending Independence High School. Following high school, he attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned his bachelor’s degree and was a four-year varsity member of the UNC Swim Team. Dr. Clark continued at UNC for dental school, graduating in 1999. After dental school, he practiced adult dentistry for two years which led him to realize that treating children and establishing a lifetime of good dental habits was his true passion. Dr. Clark then went back to school and completed his pediatric dental residency in Rochester, NY at the University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Clark maintains active memberships in the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Clark is a board-certified pediatric dentist and holds credentials at Atrium Health Medical Center. Dr. Clark has been a dentist for 24 years and a pediatric specialist for 20 of those years. He has also held the Top Dentist Award for the last 13 years.

Dr. Clark’s love for working with children and young adults started well before he became a pediatric dentist. He taught swim lessons and coached swim teams during his high school and college years. During college and dental school Dr. Clark also volunteered as an elementary school tutor to help children prepare for end-of-year exams. Dr. Clark’s favorite thing about working with children is getting to see them grow and gain confidence at the dentist. He loves getting to see his long-term patients progress from being a toddler, through the elementary years, adolescence, and becoming young adults.

When Dr. Clark is not helping patients, most of his free time is taken up by his daughter. He loves doing projects around the house, yoga, and he will tell you he can “use” a guitar (he does not claim to play guitar… only uses it from time to time!)
