Meet The Staff

Mitzi has been a registered dental hygienist for the past 37 years with specific experience in pediatrics for the last 25 years. She completed her dental hygiene degree at Albany State College. Mitzi enjoys working with children because to her they are like presents; Each child is different and unique, which makes the day fun and enjoyable. She truly is a people person and tends to remember even the smallest details about her patients, from sports they’re involved in to trips they plan to take.

When Mitzi is not helping to save teeth from sugar bugs, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Mitzi also enjoys traveling and has been all over the world. She even went to high school in Okinawa, Japan!

Nicole has been a registered dental hygienist for the past 20 years with a special concentration in pediatric dentistry for the last 12 years. She completed her dental hygiene degree at St. Petersburg College in the Sunshine State where she grew up. She loves to work with children because they are generally very happy and love to laugh! She believes we, as adults, take ourselves a little too seriously and oftentimes forget to just enjoy life’s experiences----even the ones at the dentist! For Nicole, working with kids is fulfilling, fun, and makes it easy to look forward to each workday! She has a particularly nurturing and gentle touch with the kids that is appreciated by patients and parents alike.

When she is not at work, Nicole loves to protect all living creatures, big and small including bugs! Except for roaches…they’re on their own! In her free time, you will often find her spending time with family as well as her five fur babies, hiking, traveling, volunteering at the animal shelter, exploring mother nature, and of course getting her daily Starbucks coffee!

Kathy is a dental assistant II with over 44 years of experience in all different fields of dentistry including orthodontics, general dentistry, and periodontics. She has been with Clark Pediatric Dentistry specifically for 17 years and is certified to assist at Atrium Health Medical Center with Dr. Clark. The best part of her job is getting to make new friends. Kathy loves to watch our patients come in as children and see them grow into young adults. She is also known to be the one to bring in treats after a bad day or just to make her coworkers feel appreciated.

In her free time, she loves to read mystery novels, dance, listen to music, and go to the mountains with her family. Kathy is also a HUGE animal lover…. especially when they’re just little babies.

Josaline is a dental assistant II with several years of experience in the dental field and in customer service. Josaline’s superpower is that she is bilingual and assists immensely with our Spanish speaking families! Josaline loves helping our patients feel comfortable at the dentist. She understands that the dentist can sometimes be scary, especially if it is a patient’s first visit. Her goal at every visit is to help your child find their strengths and walk out the door feeling exceptionally proud of themselves! She has a very patient and soft-spoken chairside manner that helps to ensure the kids have a positive experience both for cleanings and dental procedures. Josaline is also certified to assist at the hospital with Dr. Clark.

When she is not at work, you can always be sure to find Josaline cuddled up with her three fur babies!

Taiya is a dental assistant I and is the newest face at Clark Pediatric Dentistry. She has several years of experience in customer service and shows a true commitment to learning the ins and outs of the dental field. Taiya enjoys working with kids because they are usually excited, happy, and their energy can rub off on you, making for a great appointment! She is quiet but thoughtful and aims to make your child’s dental appointment one they will remember.

Taiya is an avid runner and enjoys running on the weekends. She also ran track in high school and played volleyball.

Karri is our part-time patient coordinator and front office administrator. She has a keen eye for detail and 20 years of insurance and front desk experience. She is also not afraid to fight with insurance companies to ensure proper processing of your benefits! To Karri, the best part of her job is getting to see all our patients’ smiling faces!

When not at work, you can find Karri gardening or dominating at mahjong. She is also our offices’ sports fanatic and has a goal of seeing a baseball game at every MLB stadium and touring each city. Currently, she is more than halfway to her goal!

Alaina is our full-time patient coordinator and front office administrator. She has worked in customer service for the last 10 years and aims to ensure our patients leave happy! She has a calm and thoughtful demeanor and is genuinely invested in providing a great experience for the whole family. She loves getting to meet the kids and watch them grow up throughout their time at our office. She also enjoys listening to all the stories they have about their day. Bonus, who wouldn’t love getting to see adorable babies at work!?

Alaina loves spending time with her husband, baby, and their two doggies. She also has a twin brother and even her husband is a twin! In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and reading about anything and everything based on history.
